Faced with an aging campus filled with outdated portable structures, the East Side Union High School District needed a modern, permanent solution for their Adult Education program. JL Modular (JLM) addressed this need through a comprehensive design-build approach that transformed the campus with both single and two-story modular buildings. These structures were thoughtfully arranged around a central courtyard, providing a cohesive and functional layout.

For the single-story buildings, JLM utilized their traditional steel moment frame design, ensuring durability and stability. The two-story buildings featured a prefabricated structural steel and metal wall frame design, optimizing both structural integrity and construction efficiency. The completed project now boasts 20 state-of-the-art classrooms, a full administrative office, a student lounge, a book room, and two computer labs. This modernized facility not only enhances the learning environment but also meets the growing needs of the district with versatile and sustainable educational spaces.
